Course will start on the asphalt paved trail for 1/4 mile then turn left onto the dirt trail (the first 9 miles is double track – about 4–5 feet wide and a very smooth running surface – minimal roots and rocks), after 9 miles we will tap into the sweet single track trails! At mile 12.75 turn hard left onto the asphalt trail and back to the start / finish area. This course will be run in a counter clockwise direction (we will start behind the restrooms next to the parking lot and finish at the covered pavilion). If you have ever debated about trying a trail race half this one is a great starter! Course running surface is very smooth and easy to navigate... The course is beautiful and offers something for every runner truly wishing to "ditch the city".
