RACE COURSE

GPS unit measures course at 5.30 miles; Calibrated Bicycle Computer "wheel" measures course at 7.15 miles. Please note GPS Units do not capture every twist and turn in the woods as bicycle wheel does roll every twist and turn. Race will start on the asphalt path (behind the parking lot) then lead into the woods. The trail running surface is very easy to navigate... the entire course is double track about 5-7 feet wide. At .25 Miles Turn Left. At Mile 2.15 Turn Left. At 2.20 Miles Turn Left. At 2.45 Miles Turn Left. At 2.50 Miles Stay Straight and to the Left. At. 2.55 Miles the Courses Split (the 7.15 Mile and 3.5 Mile Courses will stay together until 2.55 Miles... at 2.55 Miles the Long Course will stay Straight / Veer Right and the 3.5 Mile Course will Turn Hard Left). 7.15 Milers at Mile 3.5 Turn Hard Left (Up some Stairs and Crossing a Long Bridge). At Mile 3.65 stay Right. At Mile 3.70 stay Right. At Mile 6.3 stay Straight Through and Intersection. At Mile 6.7 Turn Hard Right Onto the Asphalt (Long and Short Courses Merge Back Together at this Point). Go Up a Short Hill (Asphalt) and Turn Right. At 7.10 Miles Turn Left Up Hill Back to the Start / Finish Area (race will be run in a "counter clockwise direction"). This course and venue is one of our favorites!

If you have ever debated about trying a trail race this one is a great starter! Course running surface is very easy to navigate... The course is beautiful and offers something for every runner truly wishing to "ditch the city".
