RACE COURSE

This is great single and double track off-road running experience. The 15K and 5K race will start in an open field (required for spacing) but will soon lead into the woods. The 15K/5K runners will stay on the same route and split at mile 1.75 (15K runners staying to the right on the concrete drive / 5K runners staying left and headed off the concrete drive into the sweet single track). The terrain is made up of a little bit of everything, rolling hills, single track, double track, roots, gravel road (short section) and concrete drive (short section) along with some technical sections. Water will be available for 15K participants at 1.90, 3.90 and 7.75 miles.  Water will be available for the 5K participants at 1.85 miles. The course is beautiful and offers something for every runner truly wishing to ´ditch the city´.

15K Turn By Turn Directions: Race will start in the open field (next to the split rail fence). We will run around the outside of the open field (clockwise direction) back towards the big gate (that leads into mountain bike parking lot) turn right at open gate back towards start / finish area (into the open field). Just past start / finish area we will turn hard left onto a double track trail towards the fence (turn left at the fence). Follow the fence line all the way back up to the mountain bike parking lot gate (turn right) going through the middle of the gravel parking lot (past the kiosk / through the gate). You will then turn right onto the first single-track to your left #20. Take that all the way down to the pavilion (just past the pavilion is the 15K/5K split / 1.75 Miles) onto the road and head towards #12 at #12 you will take a right. This is the intersection that you will have the first water station, runners can get water here twice (1.90 Miles / 3.80 Miles). You will then follow the numbers all the way to #15 back at the road and take a left down the road back towards #12 and the water station. Turn right into the trail at #12. Turn right at #11 heading towards #17. Before you get to #17 the is a bridge on the left that is going towards #4. Follow the numbers until #6 and take a left up the hill to #8. At #8 turn right towards #9 and then onto #10. At #10 turn right heading to #2. This is the location for the last water stop (7.75 Miles). Right at #2 heading back towards #1. That will get you back to the bike parking lot. Go straight across the mountain bike parking lot (through the gate) straight into the open field to the finish line!

5K Turn By Turn Directions: Race will start in the open field (next to the split rail fence). We will run around the outside of the open field (clockwise direction) back towards the big gate (that leads into mountain bike parking lot) turn right at open gate back towards start / finish area (into the open field). Just past start / finish area we will turn hard left onto a double track trail towards the fence (turn left at the fence).
