We´re excited to present the 11th Annual Chateau Elan Muscadine 5.9/3.2 Mile Vineyard and Trail Running Race! Runners registration for the 2026 Chateau Elan Muscadine 5.9/3.2 Mile Trail Running Race is OPEN! We will have a cap on this race of 325 Participants! We are placing a cap on this event due to parking availability! If you are interested in participating please register soon! 

For our 2026 events we will be using a Super Soft, Tri Blend Shirt! In doing so we must adhere to the "no guarantee of a shirt with late or race day registration". We will still offer "Men's" and "Women's" Sizes (Shirts Fit Just Like the Current Ones we Use)! So Register Early and let us know what you think!

PACKET PICKUP

Packet pickup will be the morning of the race starting at 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Race starts at 8:00 a.m. SHARP!

RACE COURSE

5.9 Mile Course (2 Laps) / 3.2 Mile Course (1 Lap): This is a great off road running experience! The race will start in the street (required for spacing) but will soon lead into and through the Chateau Elan Vineyards. The race course will go around the outer perimeter of the vineyards for .25 and then we will turn hard right into the beautiful vineyards (making 1 pass through the vineyard) until .40 miles. At .50 miles we will make another pass through the lower vineyard for about 75 yards then uphill (next to the tennis courts). At .65 we will cross over Rue Charlemagne Drive and then hard left onto a gravel fire road. Staying straight on the gravel road for about 25 yards then hard right (downhill) on the gravel road tapping onto and turning hard right onto Fluerie Drive at .75 miles (asphalt road). Stay on Fluerie Drive for about 150 yards then turning hard right onto the sweet double track Spa Loop (dirt trail). At 1.04 Miles the Spa Loop Crosses an Asphalt Road (then hard Left), at 1.30 Miles take a Hard Left Past the Ninth Hole on the Par Three Course (Next to the Pond). Run along the Pond and at 1.40 (Next to the 9th Hole Green), Turn Hard Right onto the Gravel Drive (Uphill), at 1.43 Miles take a Hard Left Following the Gravel Road (crossing over 2 small asphalt roads), then at 1.50 Miles take a Hard Left onto the Asphalt Road... Fluerie Drive. At 1.55 Veer Left Uphill (back onto the Dirt Trail). At 1.60 Hard Right onto the Yellow Nature Trail. At 1.75 Veer Left onto the Asphalt (Headed Downhill). At 1.85 Miles Take a Hard Left Onto Golf Cart Path (just before the wooden road bridge). Stay on Golf Cart Path (following Wheeler Creek) all the way to Golf Club Drive. Turn Hard Left Onto Golf Club Drive. Stay on Golf Club Drive for 2.5 then just before the "Electric Gate" Entrance, Veer Left (through the white fence), then up a short gravel drive and then Left (Downhill) Between the Horse Stalls and the Horse Arena (where the Horse Arena Used to Be)! At 2.83 Miles Take a Hard Right Onto Gravel / Asphalt Road (back around the beautiful vineyards and next to the horse arena). At 2.92 Miles Turn Hard Left Up Into the Vineyards. At 2.96 Turn Hard Left onto the widest row in the Vineyard. At 3.08 Miles Turn Hard Right. At 3.10 Miles the Course Splits at the Water Station... 5.9 Milers Turning Left at Water Station 2nd Lap (from this point forwards 2nd lap is same as 1st). 3.2 Milers Veer to the Right and Finish! The course is beautiful and offers something for every runner truly wishing to ´ditch the city´.

RACE CATEGORIES

Dirty Spokes will be handing out medals and prizes to our overall top 3 male and female finishers for each race as well as our overall male and female masters winners. We will also be handing out medals to our top 3 male and female finishers in each age group (14&U, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75&U) – you must be present to receive your medal we will not mail them to you. AWARDS Awards will be given out when we have enough finishers in to fill the categories. Medals will be given out to the top three finishers in each category. Walkers are encouraged to participate; however, you should be able to complete the 5.9/3.2 miles at a 16 minute mile pace or under to receive an official time.
