Dirty Spokes Productions, LLC is a southeastern athletic events
company dedicated to 12 / 6 Hour Mountain Bike Races. We are in our 4th year of putting on the
Dirty Spokes Events and as enthusiastic as when we started it (thanks to racers / riders like yourselves).
We are mountain bike enthusiasts like the rest of you. This event was designed for mountain bikers to
have fun, be competitive and provide an endless supply of great memories! No matter the level
(beginner to expert) it is there for you. We are not trying to re-invent the wheel just trying

Dirty Spokes Productions is proud to present the Dirty Spokes 12/6 Hour
Mountain Bike Endurance Points Series - Georgia - 2009! This race points series will consist of
4 races! Our 1st race will be held March 14th, 2009 at Heritage Park - 6 Hour Race - Our 2nd
race will be held May 2nd, 2009 at Fort Yargo State Park - 12/6 Hour Race (Winder, Ga.) - Our 3rd race
(newly added) will be held July 11th, 2009 at Tibble Mill Park - 12/6 Hour Race (Grayson, Ga.) - and
to round out the series we will have the grand finale October 10th, 2009 at Unicoi State
Park - 12/6 Hour Race (Helen, Ga.) *UNICOI IS A DOUBLE POINTS RACE*!
Here's the skinny… we are using a "point system" to reward and separate the top finishers from the
pack - this point system is similar to a NASCAR points system or possibly other "points series races"
around the way in mountain biking or other similar athletic events. The Dirty Spokes Endurance
points series will be tracked / recorded by our staff throughout the 2009 calendar - starting
with the Heritage Park race through the Fort Yargo Race then Tibble Mill Park Race
and ending with the Finale at Unicoi State Park
*DOUBLE POINTS RACE*. In order to qualify for the Endurance
Championship you / your team must enter a minimum of 3 of the 4 events. You may race as a solo rider
or as a team - you may race the 6 hour races or the 12 hour races (in order to quality for Endurance
Championship Points Series you must race in at least 3 of 4 races in the SAME discipline / category /
teams must consist of the same people no alternates). The points you win from these races will follow
you in whichever route you and or your team chooses (12 or 6 hour series). Any 6 hour race points you
earn may be moved "up" to qualify in the 12 hour series - 12 hour race points you earn MAY NOT be
moved "down" (if you move down from 12 hour race to a 6 hour race you may not transfer these points).
If there is a tie at the end of the series in any category we will determine winner by most laps - if
there is still a tie we will determine winner by most laps then fastest overall time (Unicoi State
Park course)- if there is still a tie we will determine winner by rock, paper, scizzors!

12/6 HOUR RACE TIMING NEWS - CHECK IT OUT!
Timing for the Dirty Spokes Race... we have purchased the RFID Timing System
(www.rfidtiming.com)
and will be doing "chip timing" for all of our races this year! That's right for the Dirty
Spokes 12/6 hour mountain bike races, XTERRA Georgia Trail Running Races and the Dirty Spokes Duathlon
we will be using "chip timing" for each of these races. Same as always in the "team events / races"
each team will have their own timing chip (2 / 4 person teams will have 1 chip and it will serve as
a “baton”). We will hand these "chips" out at the registration table and will collect them back at
the end of the races... FOR ANY CHIP THAT IS LOST / NOT RETURNED AFTER THE RACE YOU WILL BE BILLED $35.00
